7th Street Entry Late Show
We’ve fit a lot of things into 15 years of The Hold Steady. We’ve released 6 albums and many other songs. We’ve played countless shows on three different continents. We’ve done most of the late night TV shows. We've played shows in all 50 of the United States. We’ve played Glastonbury. We’ve played Coachella. We’ve opened up for The Rolling Stones. And The Replacements. We’ve been personally insulted by Don Rickles. The list goes on...
But, somehow, we’ve never played the 7th Street Entry.
Sunday October 14th, the day after we play the awesome Surly Fest, (tickets available at that link!) we are going to do two shows in one day at the 7th Street Entry in classic old school fashion: an early matinee (4pm) and a late show (8pm). This was the format for many classic shows in the 80s, and we wanted to pay tribute. The 7th Street entry is a Minneapolis landmark and host to many legendary performances -and the first place Craig saw the Replacements live. We will finally be adding this one to our list and we hope you will join us. We even timed to it so you can watch the Vikings and still make the show(s). The Twin Cities are such an important part of The Hold Steady story, and we can’t wait to be there with you for this incredible weekend.
